By me You were abandoned, by me You were betrayed... Yet in Your arms and in Your heart forever I have stayed.

  • "Fairly" interesting question...

...like my pun? Get it.... I'm going to ask a question about something related to a fair. hahaha... c'mon, smile people!

Anyway, so here's the scenario. I'm re-designing the ticket's that we pass out so people can get on our show. Now I have come up with two designs, both the same, only they have different borders. Tell me which one YOU think would be better for a fair ticket...

    [line border]

    [dot border]

Let me know guys... thanks! (I'll really post some pics and vids soon... i've been too busy with fairs, sister having baby, etc etc to actually post anything.)

Oh yeah, Kayla had her baby! See pics at her xanga... xanga.com/reachingtheworld
    Here's one of them...

    Geeking/Later peeps...

For the report you have all been waiting for... my geek project is complete! (echo echo) No cheers? Hmph... well anyway. I have two partitions on my hard drive, a 40 gig and a 50 gig. XP's on the 50, Vista's on the 40. I havn't gotten around to installing Linux yet, but I will when I get some time. I gotta say, XP seriously plays games WAY... WAY better than vista. Games that wouldn't even run on vista are a breeze on XP. For instance... GRAW plays wonderfully now with the graphics at a medium/high level... it didn't even run on Vista with the graphics all the way down. I was impressed...
Oh something else kinda cool, I overclocked my graphics card. Maybe that doesn't sound impressive to most folk, I mean people do it all the time on desktops... I did it on my laptop!!!! (thanks for the suggestion Douglas) It's made a big improvement on my games and stuff. In 3DMark '05 I got 1200+ extra points by the overclocking... it was a 35% increase.

    oh

    what?

    Am I boring y'all?

    Onward then...

M'kay, so I'll'a be officially (opposed to?) hittin' da' road tomorrow 'round 'noon. (Did I put enough apostrophes in there for ya'?)
Seriously though, be praying for me if you can spare a moment or two with God... I'd appreciate it! The first carnival I'm going to is the Frog Festival in Rayne, LA (near Crowley)... I'm hoping they have some good fried frog legs... This fair will be from the 5th to the 9th, although technically the festival doesn't start until the 7th (Friday) so the first few days should be slow. When I talked to Uncle Jerry today he told me that Wednesday we'll be cleaning the trailer getting it ready and then we'll bring it out. Like I said, we probably won't have much action the first few days. According to my understanding we are traveling with the "Mitchel Bros" whoever they are... and we get into the fairs with them. That's a good way to get into the fairs, but the downside is we can't leave until they do. So it looks like we have to leave late Sunday afternoon... we might not even get to go to church this Sunday. That'll be weird.

Anywho... I'm going to go now, and do more nothing. I'll be posting pics of the fair, that is if I can find my camera charger.

    Geek-ing away!!!

Ok, well my PC is undergoing a bit of work right now. Not because it needs it, not because it's broken, just because I'm a geek and I like tinkering. I'll be:

    + Formating my Hardrive
+ Dividing (aka Partitioning) my hardrive into 3 partitions. (50gig for Vista | 35 Gig for XP | 10 Gig for Linux.)
+ Installing above mentioned OS on said partitions.

Ok, I sort of lied. It's not ENTIRELY true that my computer's not broken.
Right now the only OS (operating system aka Windows, Linux, etc) I have on here is Vista. And I love Vista dearly. I wouldn't trade it in for XP for the world. (ok, so that's a lie too)
Anyway, I really like Vista. Only thing is, I can't play all of my games on it. Vista is still new, so Games haven't yet "adapted" to this new OS. And I like playing games. So I have Windows XP and I have Vista. Why not install both? THAT's what I'm going to do!

I also mentioned that I'm going to be installing Linux (Ubuntu 'm pretty sure) but that's not for games or anything. That's just because I'm an uber geek, and I want to learn a new OS and how it works.

This should keep me busy for a day or two... so, I'll let y'all know how it goes! (I know that you are SOOOOO interested)

  • Fears, Lies... My Pride Inside. (It's Song w/o Music = Poem)

    ----------
    Verse 1
    ----------
In the beginning there was only lies.
They were small in number, harmless as flies.
The seeds were planted deep inside,
It then took root and produce fruit inside.

Deceit and arrogance I continually covered,
Kept from the light, never to be discovered.
In shadows of darkness appearing then gone.
Least it be scorched alive by rays of the sun.

    ----------
    Chorus
    ----------
While soft feathers slowly fell around the ground that I dared not tread upon,
Running breathlessly on poisoned thorns I without fear calmly pursued on.

Lies believed, truth denied, the responsibility I should bear; all pushed aside,
Continually seeking unearned trust. Earning the prize, that thought had died.

    ----------
    Verse 2
    ----------
My heart deranged, hardened, and worn,
As a slave I perused trust tirelessly on.
Denying the part that I had played,
Shunning the truth in blame I had made.

They pulled hard against death's grip,
"Leave me alone" I'd sharply quip.
Fervently they screamed and pleaded for me,
Wanting only from death for me to be free.

    [Chorus]

    ----------
    Verse 3
    ----------
Stiff bounds now bind my feet and hands,
Still I crawled on making demands.
A shroud of darkness had covered my eyes
There was no one left to hear my cries.

Because I'm blind no escape path's in sight,
If only I could see it's directly to my right.
Pushing and pulling me, He's still here,
He never left me to drown in my fear!

    [Chorus]

    ----------
    Verse 4
    ----------
Fruit of bitterness produced from lies,
The after taste is fetid leaving no lives.
    Moments before death takes root,
The flower's bud appears deceptively cute.

Don't be fooled by the beauty of sin,
There's pain and anguish buried within.
If you are blind, bound, scarred or scared
Look to The One who will lovingly care.

Am I this forgetful? Must be aging...

I'm kind of surprised that I never mentioned to you guys that I was going to be giving my testimony at church. Actually not just me Tyler too! Well, we did... two Sundays ago... the 5th. We had the whole service to our selves... between the two of us, we took up about an hour.
It went well I suppose, actually better and worse than I wanted it to. It was worse, because I didn't speak as well as I know I can. I was VERY nervous... not so much that everyone would here my testimony, but it was just a scary thought speaking about things like that in front of people I know. It would have been tenTHOUSAND times easier in front of people I DON'T know, but this, this was tough. Ok, so I think I've made it clear that I wasn't all cool, calm, and collected.

I stood up in front of everybody, cracked a joke to break the ice and then read my testimony... that's it. I read the exact testimony (almost, I did add a new part that's not here on xanga) that I have written here on my blog. As far as I'm concerned, it was the worst job I've done at speaking publicly in a loooong time. But thankfully it doesn't matter how I do... it only matter's about what God can do through me. And God worked through me and Tyler's testimony in ways I didn't expect. My testimony was about my life over the past few years, what I've gone through and what God's done; Tyler's testimony was more focused on music. Together they we very powerful, praise God!

When it came around to the invitation... chills went up my spine, literally. I saw friends of mine that I had been burdened for go forward, pray, give testimony, etc. I was SO excited. God really used these testimonies... it's given me a new excitement about sharing the things that God's doing in my life with other people, to help people.

Now, if you feel so inclined to listen to said testimonies, here are the links to download them in .mp3 format.

    Yay.... YAY!!! Oh.

    Yay....
Tonight Me, Douglas and 11 other people went to see Bourne Ultimatum. Wow. That's it... it was just awesome. I think I would rank it either my 1st or 2nd favorite out of the 3 movies. 5 Starz!

    YAY!!!
Last week was my last week of work, right? WRONG! Ok, so yes I am finished with that job... but now I have more work. Thursday morning I get a call from this guy who I don't even know asking me if I wanted to make a website for him. (He had heard about me through my aunt) "Of course I wouldn't mind that!" I say trying to stifle my excitement. Next, he asks me where I wanted to meet for lunch and then just a few short hours later we were at Copeland's discussing everything he wanted done!!! After we ate I went to his house and got the things I needed from him, and I was on my way. So in a matter of days, God's already provided me with a way to make some extra cash! A good bit of extra cash actually!!!

    Oh.
Wednesday's events make for an interesting tail that I feel is worth telling... just I don't feel like telling now. Be patient.
